At a Glance
Busy time entries block out periods in the diary when a staff member is unavailable — breaks, meetings, training or leave — so no appointment is booked over them. ClinicSoftware.com treats busy time like a booking, keeping availability and online booking accurate.
What is a busy time entry?
A busy time entry marks part of a staff member's diary as unavailable, so bookings are not offered during it. It covers breaks, admin, training and leave. ClinicSoftware.com respects it in availability.
Why use busy time entries?
Blocking non-bookable time keeps the diary honest, so online booking never offers a slot when the practitioner is actually on a break or off, preventing clashes.

How It Works in ClinicSoftware
01
Open the staff member's diary
02
Add a busy time entry for the period
03
Set a reason such as break or training
04
Online booking skips that time
Busy Time Entries let you block specific periods in a therapist's diary for activities that are not client appointments — staff training, team meetings, supplier visits, equipment maintenance, deep cleaning, or personal breaks. Blocked time is clearly visible in the diary and automatically excluded from online booking availability.
